Tour Itinerary Upon arrival, you will be taken to visit the Roman theater at Kom El Dikka, considered to be a place more for public meetings than for performances. The ruins were discovered accidentally about 20yrs ago during a construction project in downtown Alexandria. They are in excellent condition. Afterwards in the afternoon, you will be taken to visit the Montazah Summer Palace to spend a quiet afternoon near in the gardens near the Mediterranean Sea. Check into your hotel later in the afternoon. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight in hotel. Day 2: There is a small avel museam nearby which was mostly devoted to Nelson's, defeating of Napoleon's fleet right off the coast of Alexandria on August 1-2, 1798. Afterwards we visit the Bombay's Pillar built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The Pillar is a 9 meters in circumference and its claimed that that 22 people could lunch on the capital, or flat top of the Pillar. Lunch is taken en-route. Your tour will end with a visit to the Catacomb of Komel-shokafa. Experts say that these tombs were tunneled into the bedrock in the age of the Antonine emperors (2nd century A.D.) for a wealthy family that is still practicing the ancient religion.
