Migration Trail Safari Itinerary

DAY 1 NAIROBI,
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Stanley Hotel; the day is yours to relax, allowing your mind and body time to adjust to different time zone. Dinner on own account. Overnight at THE STANLEY HOTEL OR SIMILAR (bed and breakfast).

DAY 2 NAIROBI/ AMBOSELI,
After breakfast morning drive South East of Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, one of the most popular parks on the Tanzania border offering unique spectacle ; the backdrop is the snow-capped, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain proudly standing at 19,344ft, and sometimes known as the “ROOF OF AFRICA”. Lunch will be served at Ol Tukai Lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at OL TUKAI LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 3 AMBOSELI,
Spend a further day in Amboseli National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. Here you can see a proliferation on Giraffe and Elephants. The 56 species in this park include Baboon, velvet Monkey, Lion, Cheetah, Zebra, Wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle.. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and overnight at OL TUKAI LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 4 AMBOSELI/ LAKE MANYARA,
After breakfast morning drive across the Kenya/ Tanzania border of Namanga for a lunch stop in Arusha town and then proceed on to Lake Manyara National Park, a lovely forested gem of a game park. In this lush landscape there are large herds of Elephants, troops of baboons, verts and blue monkeys as well as leopards, big cats and plain game. The birdlife in this magnificent tangle of vegetation is stunning in its abundance and diversity, including flamingos on the shores of the lake. On our game run we also seek the famous tree-climbing lions, a sight you will most definitely never forget! Dinner and overnight at LAKE MANYARA SERENA LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 5 LAKE MANYARA/ SERENGETI,
After breakfast morning drive in to the vast Serengeti Game Reserve, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, site of the discovery of the remains of prehistoric man. The immensity of Serengeti Game Reserve can be expressed in its numbers. It is recorded that over a million animals live in this area with more than a third of them being wildebeest. This offers an enormous food supply for the lion, cheetah, leopard (an animal usually difficult to find in other parks). You will arrive in time for lunch at Serengeti Serena Lodge. Afternoon proceed on an extensive game drive on the park until sunset. Dinner and overnight at SERENGETI SERENA LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 6 SERENGETI,
Spend a further day in Serengeti Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives through the this Reserve. Vast numbers of animals dot the plains with the woodlands hiding monkeys and baboons, giraffes in groups line the trees and the predators stalk the wildebeest, antelope and zebras. All meals included. Overnight at SERENGETI SERENA LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 7 SERENEGTI/ NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA,
After breakfast morning drive with a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Coservation Area arriving in time for lunch at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Afternoon enjoy a breath taking view of the crater. Dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 8 NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA,
Breakfast at the lodge. Full day safari by 4 wheel drive vehicles on the crater floor with picnic lunches.This most spectacular of the African game reserve contains one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Tanzania with over 35,000 animals living within the crater, including wildebeest, elephants, lion, dik-dik and war-hog; whilst on the lake side there are pelicans, ibis and flamingo. Dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE OR SIMILAR (full board).

DAY 9 NGORONGORO CONSERVATION / NAIROBI/ DEPART,
After breakfast at the lodge, morning drive with picnic lunches across the Kenya/ Tanzania border of Namanga and proceed to Nairobi. Dayrooms at THE STANLEY HOTEL. This evening relax and reflect on the memorable experience you have encountered on your safari in the best parks of Africa. Dinner on own arrangements. Evening transfer to JKIA for your outbound flight.

Our costs include:

• Accommodation as stipulated in the itinerary, transportation in a chauffeur driven minivan with pop-up roof for easy game viewing & photography, services of an English speaking driver-guide, game viewing drives and parks entrance fees as indicated in the itinerary, all Government taxes and levies, free safari hat
• Free mineral water during game drives only, all meet and greet services, all arrival and departure transfers
• 24 hours stand-by contact number, all meals as indicated in the itinerary, guaranteed window seat in the minivan
• Two-way long range high frequency radio communication in each minivan
• On safari accessories in the minivan: - First-aid kit, wildlife books, beanbags for easy photography, a pair of binoculars, cool box and fire extinguisher.

Our costs exclude:

• All items of personal nature e.g. telephone call bills, fax/email bills etc, tips and gratuities to hotel, lodges, camp staff and driver- guide(s)
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, any local or international flight and departure taxes, laundry services
• Holiday supplement over Christmas and New Year, any other item(s) not included in our itinerary.
